New Tour dates
A couple of tour dates have sprung up for the Minus 5, a few festivals and some CD-release show parties. The Minus 5 is also gearing up for a tour with Steve Wynn and the first ever live shows of "The Baseball Project" coming to you in August/September.
Minus 5 tour dates: 10 July - Doug Fir, Portland, OR - CD release show 11 July - SakeOne Summer Concert Series, Forest Grove, OR 18 July - Tractor Tavern, Seattle, WA - CD release show 26 August - Portland Center for the Performing Arts Outdoor Series, Portland, OR 28 August - Lake Arrowhead Village, Lake Arrowhead, Ca 7 September - Bumbershoot, Seattle, WA 17 September - St. Francis, Louisville, KY 18 September - Christ the King Oktoberfest, Lexington, KY But Before all that Scott is joining the “Musicians Bringing Musicians Home V” line up on May the 22. New Minus 5 and new Young Fresh Fellow album coming up
July 7th is gonna be a busy day, cause not only the new Minus 5 album, but also the long awaited new Young Fresh Fellow record, their first new album since 2001 "Because We Hate You".
Both albums will come out on Yep Roc Records, while the Fellows album ""I Think This Is." was recorded in Seattle with Robyn Hitchcock as the producer. The Minus 5 one "Killingsworth" was recorded all over, but mainly in Portland and features and array of local and not so local talent on it. The releases are still a few months away be sure to come back here in the coming weeks, as we will have samples and streams of the new albums. Meanwhile for those that can't wait that long, go order the Minus 5 EP "Sad Hasselhof" at the Yep Roc Web Shop, it's a 12" with new tunes, some of which might turn up on the new disc, others just exclusively for this release. On February 17th Robyn Hitchcock & the Venus 3 - comprised of R.E.M's Peter Buck on guitar, Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5, Young Fresh Fellows, R.E.M.) on bass and drummer Bill Rieflin (Ministry, R.E.M.) - will storm back onto the pop music landscape with Goodnight Oslo, the follow-up to their critically lauded 2006 album Ole! Tarantula.

THE NEIL YOUNG DOOM/DITCH TRILOGY SHOW
Celebrate the depths of winter as Neil Young's Doom Trilogy is presented in it's entirety by some of Portland's finest. The Minus 5, Lewi Longmire Band, and The Don of Division Street Band pay tribute to Neil Young's mid-70's, dark masterpieces of rock and roll. Time Fades Away, On the Beach, Tonight's the Night, collectively known to Young fans as the Doom or Ditch trilogy, were released in the wake of the deaths of two close friends and detail the madness and darkness of this time in his creative life. Musicians from REM, The Young Fresh Fellows, Fernando, Richmond Fontaine, Dr. Theopolis, and others are featured on this night of rock and roll tribute.
